The Admiral’s House - five well-furnished and equipped apartments (three of which are featured here) - is stunningly located on the edge of Ilfracombe’s Heritage harbour with great harbour and beach views from all living rooms and bedrooms .The Admiral’s House is centrally located for Ilfracombe’s main attractions. There are friendly pubs and restaurants, including Damien Hirst’s The Quay (opposite side of harbour), and shops and cafes within a few minutes’ stroll. There are local boats for trips and fishing. For special experiences, the summer Lundy Island ferry runs from the harbour. Sometimes the famous Waverly Paddle Steamer offers coastal cruises. The Admiral’s House is a 5-minute walk to the Landmark Theatre. The path at the front of the house is the start of the coastal path leading to Hillsborough Nature Reserve and the coves of Reparee and Larksdown. Hele beach is a short walk, or there is paddling on the sandy beach just below the window. A great base for touring, surfing at Croyd and Woolacombe, cream teas at many gardens, National Trust properties, unspoilt Exmoor, the Victorian cliff railway at Lynton and Lynmouth and many mini theme parks within a short drive. Returning to the harbourside holiday apartment, fishing boats can be seen landing their catch, and crab and lobster can be bought for supper! Shops 100 yards.

Trippet Cottage is a recently refurbished, low energy, stone barn conversion which has been equipped with under floor heating, led lighting and photovoltaic panels. The large open plan kitchen, living and dining area has been tastefully decorated and is well equipped with all modern amenities. The bedrooms are spacious, luxurious, well appointed and have a delightful feel.
Trippet Cottage is situated next door to Hallagenna riding stables and livery yard. If you want to bring your horse with you on holiday, there are some fabulous hacks across the breathtaking and unspoilt scenery of Bodmin Moor, from rocky tors, open moorland, atmospheric wooded valleys and gentle streams.

The Burrow has been beautifully restored to a good standard making your stay comfortable. It was once a thriving gunpowder works dating back to 1798 and part of Low Wood Mill gunpowder works. With the multi-fuel burner in the living area and the underfloor heating, you can be toasty warm on those cold winter evenings and in the summer you can sit out on the patio and enjoy views and access to the paddock. The Sheep Shack is in a great location on the side of Kinder Scout in the Peak District National Park. It makes an ideal base for walking, running, cycling and exploring the Peak District. Many walks and trails start from right outside the front door. The building is a converted barn and full of character but also benefits from a contemporary interior with high quality fittings and sustainable technologies such as ground source underfloor heating. As you enter the property you will be blown away by the open plan space and high ceilings with fantastic views from each window.
Step down onto the lower ground floor and you’ll find an open plan living space, with a well-equipped modern kitchen. There is a dining table with four chairs, a warming wood burner, Smart TV, and ample comfy seating. Patio doors take you out onto the enclosed back garden where outdoor furniture is positioned well to take in the amazing views. There is a small bedroom on the lower ground floor with single sized bunk beds, and a neatly tucked away washing machine should you need it. The ground floor wet room has separate bath, basin and open shower. The main double bedroom has en-suite facilities with a cubicle shower.
The Shack is also ideal for a romantic break. Visitors can enjoy peace and privacy whilst still being within easy reach of Hayfield village which has several pubs and cafes. After a long day out, you can amble down the lane to the pub or just kick back in front of the fire and relax.
The Sheep Shack benefits from sustainable technologies and has been built to BREAM specifications meaning low carbon consumption and very high levels of insulation. Solar heat is captured invisibly by a ground loop under the neighbouring field to supply hot water and underfloor heating.
